āCARINGA SPARK RADIO āĀ EPISODE #11ā
For over 70 years, Caringa has been a cornerstone of our community, championing inclusivity and celebrating the diverse talents of people with disabilities. Caringa Spark Radio is our latest evolution, providing a space where authentic voices can be heard, stories can be shared, and myths about disability can be dispelled.
Every Thursday, from 8am, the Loving Life FM airwaves come alive with the energy & passion of our Caringa crew.
Whether you’re tuning in locally or listening via the FM103.1 app from afar, you’re in for a treat. Our programming is as diverse as our community, covering everything from upcoming events and programs to day-to-day life at Caringa, and very off-script honest conversations about lived experiences.
This week – Glen (Macca); ourĀ Manager of Business & Enterprise Development (ooo fancy) wasĀ backĀ onĀ the airwaves with DamoĀ to chat about what employment, skills and capacity building means for the community in reality.
Talking on themes of disability awareness from a local business perspective; discussing openly what businesses of all shapes and sizes can do to be more inclusive, what ARE the benefits of employing people with disability… and just what exactly IS Caringa doing to prepare our community for these opportunities when they present?
