Supporting the Rising Warriors

Caringa will be cheering from the sidelines for the 2024 Aboriginal Koori Knockout.

Running since 1971, the Knockout is a celebration of culture and competition & an important pathway for young First Nations talent.

This year, the Warriors are fielding both an Under 17’s Men’s Team and an Open Women’s Team, showcasing the diverse talent from across Bundjalung, Gumbaynggirr, and Yaegl Countries.

The teams bring together players from communities spanning Lismore, Ballina, Casino, Tabulam, Baryulgil, Grafton, Maclean, and Yamba, truly representing the spirit of unity and sportsmanship.

The Rising Warriors Program is an initiative formed by a group of volunteer Aboriginal men who are a part of the Bundjalung Baygal Warriors Rugby League Football Club (BBWRLFC).

The BBWRLFC partnered with Mudyala Aboriginal Corporation to develop community-led programs to support Aboriginal youth to achieve positive wellbeing.

Did you know that for over 71 years, Caringa Australia has been helping folks with disabilities in our community live their best lives? Yep, since 1953! We’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings as a little community-funded school started by fundraising.

Now we’re out here changing lives every day.

When you donate to Caringa, you’re not just helping individuals. You’re making our whole Coffs Clarence Coast community stronger, and you also allow us to pay it forward, and sponsor other Community organisations such as Mudyala.

It’s like giving a high-five to inclusivity and compassion across the Coffs Clarence region!

Your support today means a complete life for everyone.

Caringa Australia acknowledges and pays respect to the Traditional Owners of the land where we work, play and live our Complete Lives; the Bundjalung, Gumbaynggirr and Yaegl Peoples.
