This weekend marks the Inaugural Caringa Charity Day in Newcastle,
hosted by our partners the Hunter Wildfires; and of course as always;
YOU are invited!!
Wildfires GM Stuart Pinkerton and the club’s Board have warmly extended to us here at Caringa a platform to share the rich history of 71 years of service to our community across the Coffs Clarence Coast.
Caringa is proud to support the Wildfires, an outstanding, inclusive and respected rugby club that represents a Complete Life for us, extending our community from the Coffs Clarence region to into the Hunter and down south – as we know how many of our Caringa family and friends hold a connection to the Hunter region.
Maybe you took a train through Newcastle to check out the big smoke on school holidays long past, maybe you had a specialist appt at a Hunter region Hospital, or maybe you’ve been on a school trip, or a rep sports tour.
For those of us in ‘regional’ Coffs Clarence, the connection to Newcastle is intrinsic, if not obvious at first. This partnership has been established on the foundations of core values of diversity & inclusion and we are thankful for the open arms that the #HunterWildfires have welcomed our own diverse community with.
Caringa will be represented well on the day with 16 members of our Caringa community in attendance. Leon Ankersmit; CEO will take to the field at half time during the First Grade Game (5pm) to say a few words, and of course, Leon will be joined by our Caringa Community and participants to mark this occasion.
If you have the weekend free come along and join us in Newcastle & be involved in our big day out, or follow along online for all our updates from Newcastle.
A HUGE Thank You to the Caringa Team
Especially our incredible Disability Support Workers, Team Leaders
and Client Services Leaders (especially Matt K) who have been working on such an incredible opportunity for the Caringa Community to experience.
