STA Trip April 2024
Darnell and the whole gang from the Caringa Community headed north on April 28th – travelling up to cheer on the Gold Coast Suns as they played the West Coast Eagles on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
We were especially exited to see the Gold Coast Suns run on in the club’s 2024 ANZAC guernsey; as the weekend was Round 7 – the commemorative ANZAC Round
The Caringa Community traveled up the Coast as a group to cheer on the Gold Coast as a part of our Complete Life – they also managed to fit in some time on Cavill Ave in Surfers Paradise as tourists, and enjoyed dinner and a show at Outback Spectacular!
Annie, Bryan, Darnell, Dave & Justin all made sure to wear their Gold Coast Suns apparel to confirm their status as repeat Suns faithful’s and enjoyed the incredible Gold Coast weather for the game. The Caringa Crew were alleged to be cheering the loudest from the Home side stands as the Suns’ unbeaten streak at home this season continues!
THANK YOU to the Gold Coast Suns players, members, the Caringa Support Workers, and Suns Community Programs Coordinator Wendy for the incredible hospitality at the GC Suns ANZAC Round match on the weekend!
The Suns now face two upcoming challenges – the game this weekend vs the Brisbane Lions; AND converting Darnell to a fully-fledged SUNS supporter– even though he confesses to still being a Bulldogs fan
Caringa understands the importance of friendships, inclusion and doing the things you love.
Thank you to the Gold Coast Suns Team & members,
the Caringa Support Workers,
and the wider Caringa Community for the opportunities and memories
this weekend means towards a complete life.
Find out more about how regardless of your goal,
Caringa has an option to help you take steps towards
greater support, growth, health and independence.
